Welcome to Kids on Tulip Early Learning Centre!
There are 8 children's rooms at Kids On Tulip. At this early stage, the rooms may be divided into the following age groups:
6 weeks-1 year (1 room)
Children learn through play, through actively exploring their world, testing ideas, practising skills and building layer upon layer of knowledge. Our experienced staff provide a variety of safe activities that are age-appropriate. The best learning occurs in a secure, caring environment where limits are fairly and consistently enforced, and where each child feels valued and confident to contribute. There will be plenty of fun and laughter, learning and wonder, warmth and care.
On offer at this level are activities such as:
- Music
- Outdoor play area with grass and soft areas for children to explore the environment safely
- Separate playground
1-2 years (3 rooms)
Kids on Tulip aims to provide a whole learning environment where children are free to observe, question, experiment and explore. Children will be engaged in activities focused on sensory experiences, including:
- Play dough
- Painting
- Sand / water play
- Indoor / outdoor activities
- Separate playground
2+years (2 rooms)
Toddlers learn by experimenting, testing and re-testing, and interacting with each other and the world around them. Children have an innate drive to learn and are supported in their efforts in every moment of their day. Established, predictable routines make the day run smoothly in a secure environment. Children become more independent and foster social skills, such as:
- Puzzles
- Dramatic play and imaginary play
- Group times for story and language development
- Outdoor areas for safe climbing; a garden area for investigating the environment, and a sandpit area where children can enjoy tactile sensations of wet and dry sand.
3+/4+ years (1 room each)
The children are educated through play and exploring the world around them in a fun and interesting manner. Our aim is to develop a stimulating program sensitive to the children's needs, interests, ages and abilities, in a warm and loving environment. We encourage the children to respect themselves, other children and adults, as well as their environment. Positive social skills are learning through constantly reinforcing daily routines, transitions and appropriate behaviour in the kindergarten rooms.
Social skills like sharing, respect and confidence in themselves, are demonstrated and practised throughout the day in the form of activities and spontaneous moments.
A multi-age kindergarten program with extra curricular activities such as music, dance and physical education will be offered.
Children will grow and develop in an atmosphere of care and learning. We believe that their transition to the wider community (school) will be effortless because of our approach, strategies and philosophy.
Upon completion, Kids on Tulip will be an architect designed, state-of-the-art purpose built child care centre. There is nothing like this currently in the area.
Unlike most centres in the area, there is an abundant amount of undercover off-street parking and plenty of street parking to make drop-off and pick-up easy for parents.
Each room will have immediate access to the creative outdoor play areas. The outdoor area will have vegetable gardens, sand pits and adventure playgrounds. All rooms will have brand new quality toys and equipment.
